He was born in Barcelona, in 1938. He made Fine Arts at the University of Barcelona. He created his first design studio in 1970. Among the works that the author considers essential in his career, highlights the design of the magazine CAU of the College of Quantity Surveyors of Barcelona, the cover designs of the Alfaguara publishing house and the Instituto Cervantes logo . His designs are as emblematic and recognizable as the covers of Alfaguara, from the Austral collection of Espasa-Calpe or Grijalbo, which have made him a more than accredited figure in editorial design. He is a visiting professor at the Pompeu Fabra University and at the School of Architecture of Barcelona. He is also the author of an important theoretical work on graphic design.
