During his long stay in Argentina (1926-1932), Mauzan brought the glorious European poster tradition to South America. His own style became more personal and free, and the depiction of the product more realistic: in the case of this magnificent lithograph poster, the character's sleeves are two packs of aspirin (even Bayer brand is clearly visible), as a sort of meta-advertising. In order to promote this renowned drug, Mauzan created three posters, two fliers and a shaped cardboard figure (intended to be placed in the pharmacies) of a woman recommending: “No se olvide de la Cafiaspirina” (“Don't forget Cafiaspirina”). Printed by Cosmos, linen backed, A+ condition. Dimensions in inches: 42.9 x 29.1''.
