French Art Déco illustrator René Vincent became famous for his poster designs, which were marked by a particular design style of distorting perspective and dynamism. He created a plethora of advertisements for Balto, Bugatti, Gitanes, Peugeot, Michelin, Shell Oil Company and Le Bon Marché. Vincent was a great lover of cars: he was one of the first French citizen to have a driver's license and was also one of the first Parisians to have a garage built into his house. In this lithograph poster advertising the French National Lottery, we can see a young woman who fantasize on the new home she would buy if she won the lottery (not surprisingly, her dream house is completed with a garage!)
