Paul Colin is regarded as one of the best French poster artists. He became famous in the middle 20's, for his poster for the “Revue Nègre”, which helped to launch Josephine Baker's career (she later became his lover). Not only did he create over 1400 posters during his career, but he also realised many designs for theatre sets and costumes. Moreover, he was a photographer (he was the author of a series of nudes of Joséphine Baker). Art Deco poster promoting the services of a house painter, printed in lithography by Bedos, linen backed, A- condition. Dimensions in inches: 57 x 44.9''.
