The Museum of Modern Art of Céret (in the South of France) houses paintings by Chagall, Matisse, Herbin and Soutine; but above all, the museum owns an impressive array of works by Picasso. The artist lived in Céret in the early 1910's; forty-plus years later, the Museum held an exhibition of his ceramic works and Picasso designed this poster to promote it. This linocut poster was printed in a limited edition of 875 copies (plus other 125 signed copies) by Arnera.
