In 1900, Manuel Malagrida, the owner of two tobacco factories in Argentina, organized the first poster contest held in South America. 19 prizes were awarded among the 111 posters submitted; the top seven award winners are reproduced in this poster. Lithograph, printed by Imp. CCFI, linen backed, A- condition (restoration to the upper right corner, lack of paper; little tears to the lower edge).
