The career of the graphic artist and painter Martin Peikert started in the early 20's. His posters, greatly influenced by Art Deco, have a unique and memorable style, which still remains in Swiss “collective unconscious”. In the 40's, Martin Peikert lived in French-speaking Switzerland, where he created several tourism posters in his fresh, youthful style for the Valais and the Bernese Oberland.
